This past April I was privileged to present at the BIOIT World Conference and Expo 2011 on the analysis of Next Generation Sequencing (NGS) data.  The slides for my NGS survival guide can be found on Novartis’ Open Access to Knowledge (OAK) repository.  They present an overview of some of the strategies and tactics we have found to be the most effective as we try to make sense of the deluge of data our NGS labs are generating.  If you are a bioinformatician charged with analyzing NGS data, a biologist thinking about running an NGS experiment, or an IT specialist supporting NGS, have a look – you might find something useful there!
